About Me
Jeffrey is a stage director, adaptor, and dramaturg living and working in Chicago, IL.
He is the co-creator and director of Our Fair City, a sci-fi radio epic for the internet, and is part of the education department at the Museum of Science and Industry. He is also the former Marketing Coordinator for Collaboraction, Chicago's premiere multi-media theatre and performance company.
In 2008 Jeffrey was an adjunct instructor at Kenyon College of Gambier, OH, teaching Classical Theatre history with President S. Georgia Nugent.
He is also a graduate of Kenyon College, with a degree with Honors in Drama and a minor in Classical Civilizations. His honors thesis addressed directing and adapting Greek Tragedy in both historical and modern context. In his senior year he was awarded the Ashford Memorial Cup, presented to the student who has contributed the most in a given year to the theatrical community of the College.
Jeffrey continues to adapt Greek tragedies and epics for the stage, focusing on investigating and exploring new forms of storytelling and myth creation.
In his spare time, he plays Irish folk music with Three Spying Soldiers, haunts the local coffee shop, and dodges as many potholes and buses on his bike as he can manage.
